Help us work towards a greater, wider welcome at Atonement. Bring your curiosity and empathy as we learn and ask questions about the LGBT+ community, with the goal of better understanding our neighbors.

During Session One, held on both Sunday November 19 at 6:30 p.m, and Wednesday November 29 at 10 a.m., our RIC Core Team will guide discussions through key resources such as ReconcilingWorks’ “Lutheran Introduction to Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Gender Expression” booklet, and transcripts from Austen Hartke’s Youtube series “Transgender and Christian.”

Though the RIC Core Team members are not experts, we hope that by creating a space to learn and ask about the basics of gender identity and sexual orientation through a Lutheran perspective, we can feel more confident in welcoming and connecting with our LGBT+ neighbors.
