About Altar Guild
Altar Guild is a behind-the-scenes ministry, focusing on preparing for communion, taking care of paraments and banners, changing candles, and setting up for special events like weddings or baptisms. This is an incredibly important ministry to Sunday morning worship and beyond, and volunteering is generally a short and flexible time commitment.
Volunteer with Altar Guild
Volunteering for Altar Guild is an easy commitment to make with an important impact on worship! Volunteers are welcome to help during the service they usually attend.
On Sundays with no communion, Altar Guild volunteers check the candles and paraments, depending on the liturgical calendar.
On Communion Sundays, two Altar Guild volunteers fill the cup trays, replenish communion elements between services, and clean up communion elements after worship.
