God’s Work Our Hands is an opportunity to serve our neighbors as a congregation! We offer several ways you can be involved.
All Peoples Church Work Day:
Saturday, October 23 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Work will include helping to clean up the gardens and beautify the area. Remember many hands make work so much easier. Carpooling available

Personal Care Kits
Lutheran Social Services has put out a request for personal care kits for the thousands of Afghan refugees expected to arrive in Wisconsin. Several groups here at Atonement are already making the kits and you can be a part of that.
A Lutheran World Relief
Health Care Kit includes:
1 light-weight bath size towel,
preferably a dark color2-3 bath size soap bars to equal 8-9 oz
1 metal nail clipper, packaging removed
1 sturdy comb, packaging removed
1 toothbrush in original packaging
*Combs and toothbrushs are available or you to pick up at church
Pick up instructions and as many toothbrushes and combs (while supply lasts) as the number of kits you plan to make from the display table in the narthex.
Linens and household items for Afghan Refugees
CIS is purchasing and making bags of sheets, towels, pillows, blankets and more.
This is what your donation can buy:
$5 Towel | $10 Towel + wash cloths
$20 2 pillows OR twin sheet set
$25 Queen sheet set | $50 A complete set

The Church in Society group is collecting items until Nov. 7 for Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center. Cash/check donations are also appreciated; please make checks out to Atonement Lutheran Church, “VA” in the memo line.

Travel size: unscented hand lotion, deodorant, shampoo, body wash, body lotion
Full size: dove soap for sensitive skin, bar soap, shampoo, body wash, body lotion, deodorant, body lotion, combs, hair brushes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, chapstick, nail clippers and files, disposable razors.
Miscellaneous items: pocket calendars, umbrellas, hand warmers, small note pads, playing cards, current magazines (w/in 6 month), large print books, gas only gift cards ($10-20) for appointments, grocery gift cards, bus tickets (for appointments), reading glasses (various strengths), sugar-free gum, mints, candy & granola bars
Clothing (new men’s/women’s clothing, sizes M - 4XL): Socks, underwear, hats, gloves, scarves, white dress shirts, long underwear, jeans, regular/hooded sweatshirts and sweatpants (no strings/ties), short/long sleeved shirts, shoes (all sizes)
